The saddest part of our lives is that we don’t want to celebrate. Whenever our soul wants to take a dip in the ocean of laughter, dance and fun, our always guarded and awaken brains create a wall to protect.
Here, celebration does not mean watching movies and going to casinos. From the word ‘celebration’, I meant happiness of soul. When you are satisfied what you have achieved. You are happy where you are. Celebration means when every breath makes you feel proud of yourself. When you think there is nothing which I wanted to do is left undone. The moment when you feel that purpose of your life is met. This is the time when you start feeling that this whole universe is revolving around you. The sun is rising to bright up your day and the winds are blowing to bring sweet fragrance to you. This is the time when all the natural forces are your slaves, because these tiny things become insignificant.
The question is why it is so difficult to enjoy the moment we have right now? There could be only three possible reasons which can justify this question.
First and most important reason is we always postpone our happiness to future that I will enjoy when I will be graduate, I will enjoy when I will get a job. But, the targets once achieved turned to milestones. And the life goes on. The life goes on and in the end we think we didn’t get time to celebrate the life. At every stage of life we are unsatisfied because we never enjoyed the past and have not achieved the future. The moment which is available to us always lost because we don’t know what we really want from life. We don’t know where the trail of achievements should stop. We never stop and look back that are we going in the right direction. Is this what we want to achieve?
Second and most imperceptible reason is people who are around us. The love and care for family, friends and even worse the people who are unknown; take us far away from inner-self. Every day we toil for happy family; we spend time with friends to share some laughter. We set our target keeping in mind our colleagues and we behave in a way people around us like. Out of twenty fours hours of the day we are not able to provide us even few moments. The words “manners” and “behavior” ensure that we trap our likes and dislikes in a narrow cage of expectations of outside world. We say we are independent; we are doing things of our choice. But, if happiness and satisfaction are the concern of people around us then how come actions are independent. We hardly do anything which we really want to do from inside and this is why we are not satisfied. How can dissatisfied soul dance on the rhythm of life?
Third reason is our beliefs. We are told from our childhood that living life for self is the most “Selfish” and worst thing. We are told to live for others and take pains to reserve a couch in the heaven. Heaven is a place where you will get all those things which are restricted here to enjoy. This is where the controversy starts. The moment which is there to celebrate is ignored to enjoy the life which is unseen.
Why it is hard to believe that a life which is full of sorrow cannot shower joy on others. A bucket which is it-self empty cannot satisfy the thirst of trees. If you want to spread the joy, then first you should be an ocean overwhelming with the same. Every precious moment which is passing can be celebrated as a festival or can be lost. It is up to our perception how we want to take it.
